Sikkim Governor Salutes Women’s Indispensable Role on Global Observance.
Gangtok: Om Prakash Mathur, the Governor of Sikkim, conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to women both within the state and globally, marking the occasion of International Women’s Day. His message underscored the foundational significance of women in shaping the very fabric of society, acknowledging their multifaceted achievements across diverse sectors.
Governor Mathur asserted that women have historically occupied a central position in the evolution of human civilization, acting as pivotal agents in the advancement of nations. He emphasized that their inherent compassion, unwavering dedication, and formidable strength have consistently propelled constructive societal transformations.
“Women have been the cornerstone of human civilization since time immemorial. Their compassion, dedication, and strength have always served as the driving force behind the progress of societies and the world order we see today,” he articulated.
He specifically lauded the women of Sikkim for their notable accomplishments in fields such as education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, highlighting their substantial contributions to the state’s development through their diligent efforts and resolute determination. “The women of Sikkim, through the years, have made remarkable strides across various fields, including education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship,” he stated.
Advocating for the continued empowerment of women, the Governor called upon society to persist in generating avenues that facilitate their success. Their significant contributions are instrumental in guiding each individual through life’s journey, from infancy onward,” he conveyed.
