Gangtok: Om Prakash Mathur, the Governor of Sikkim, conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to women both within the state and globally, marking the occasion of International Women’s Day. Governor Mathur asserted that women have historically occupied a central position in the evolution of human civilization, acting as pivotal agents in the advancement of nations. “Women have been the cornerstone of human civilization since time immemorial. Their compassion, dedication, and strength have always served as the driving force behind the progress of societies and the world order we see today,” he articulated.
He specifically lauded the women of Sikkim for their notable accomplishments in fields such as education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship, highlighting their substantial contributions to the state’s development through their diligent efforts and resolute determination. “The women of Sikkim, through the years, have made remarkable strides across various fields, including education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship,” he stated.
