Assam: Uttarakhand Rider’s Stolen Bike Recovered in South Salmara Mankachar, Two Arrested

Guwahati: A stolen motorcycle belonging to Uttarakhand resident Noni has been successfully recovered by law enforcement in Fakirganj, located within the South Salmara Mankachar district.

The vehicle, which was reported missing from a guest house in Sarusajai, was located at Prem Bazar in Fakirganj following a coordinated effort between the Basishta Police Station and the Fakirganj Police.

The recovery operation culminated in the apprehension of two individuals suspected to be involved in the theft. The arrested individuals have been identified as Firoz Qazi, the son of Afsar Kazi hailing from Balatari village, and Ashraful Dewan, the son of Abdul Jobbar, a resident of Basanipara village in Fakirganj.

In a move indicating the seriousness of the investigation, the two suspects were transported overnight to Guwahati for further questioning. Law enforcement officials are now engaged in detailed investigations aimed at uncovering the complete details surrounding the theft and exploring any potential links to a broader criminal operation.

This incident has amplified existing concerns regarding the prevalence of vehicle thefts within the region, prompting calls for heightened vigilance and improved security measures.
