A substantial allocation of Rs 119 crore has been designated to propel youth empowerment and sports development, a key pillar of the budget. This initiative aims to provide state-of-the-art sports facilities and international exposure opportunities, designed to nurture and elevate the talents of Arunachal Pradesh’s young athletes, signaling a long-term commitment beyond the previously declared “Year of Youth.”
In a move to bolster the state’s healthcare sector, Chief Minister Khandu announced the doubling of MBBS seats at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS). Furthermore, plans are in motion to establish a new medical college, significantly expanding access to medical education and strengthening the state’s healthcare framework.
The budget also includes substantial investments in arts and culture, with a focus on restoring cultural sites, preserving historical landmarks, and hosting large-scale celebrations of the state’s traditional folk arts. These initiatives are intended to ensure the enduring preservation of Arunachal Pradesh’s unique cultural identity and historical narrative for generations to come.
