Itanagar: Naharlagun Police have successfully recovered three stolen scooties from Itanagar, Seppa, and Assam following the arrest of three burglars in a coordinated operation.

The crackdown, led by a team under the supervision of SDPO Naharlagun Rishi Longdo and SP Naharlagun Mihin Gambo, marks a significant breakthrough in tackling vehicle theft in the region.

The recovery operation, spearheaded by OC Naharlagun Inspector K. Dev, SI V. Linggi, HC Kato Samyor, HC Punyo Tari, Ct. Debojit Borah, and Ct. Saanu Raj, traced one scooty to Bedeti, Assam, another to Seppa in coordination with local police, and the third to Itanagar after apprehending co-accused Rajiv Munda alias Ambrus Munda (30).

The breakthrough came after the arrest of Taku Tayu, who provided key information on Munda’s involvement. Upon Munda’s arrest in Itanagar, police not only recovered the stolen vehicles but also a high-value camera stolen from A-Sector, Naharlagun, last week.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to trace more stolen vehicles and return them to their rightful owners, reinforcing police efforts to curb theft-related crimes in the region.
