Amit Shah Gifts Guitar to Mizoram’s 7-Year-Old Singing Sensation

Aizawl: Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented a guitar to Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte, a 7-year-old singing prodigy from Mizoram, during his visit to the state on March 15. The gift was a token of appreciation for her heartfelt rendition of Vande Mataram in Aizawl, which deeply moved the Home Minister.

Hnamte, who first gained nationwide attention in 2020 with her viral video singing ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’, has been praised for her powerful voice and patriotic spirit. She has received multiple awards from the Mizoram government, including a special appreciation from the Governor.

Shah’s visit to Mizoram was part of his three-day trip to Assam, which began on March 14. During his visit, he attended the land transfer ceremony for the Assam Rifles’ land being transferred to the Mizoram government. Speaking at the event, Shah praised the Assam Rifles for their commitment to serving the people of Mizoram.

The Home Minister also highlighted the significance of the relocation of the Assam Rifles Headquarters from Central Aizawl to Zokhawsang, marking a major milestone in the Indian government’s commitment to Mizoram’s development.
