Shillong: An air of disappointment swept across Shillong after Nick Carter, a member of the iconic Backstreet Boys, announced the cancellation of his much-anticipated Asia Tour.
The decision, which affects multiple countries, includes the March 21 show in Shillong, leaving fans heartbroken over the sudden change.
Carter delivered the news through a video message recorded at an airport, where he expressed regret for the cancellation. Apologizing to his fans, he stated, “I hope that you understand,” citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for his return home. He reassured fans that he would see them again soon.
Reflecting on the emotional journey of the tour, Carter described it as a space of “love and passion,” thanking his supporters for their unwavering dedication. He also emphasized that the tour was an opportunity for him to express his true self, making the cancellation even more disappointing for both him and his audience.
With the cancellation, shows in India, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines stand affected. Ticket refunds are expected to be processed within 24 hours, while those who purchased VIP tickets will receive separate reimbursements, according to media reports.
