Assam Police Seize Ammunition, Narcotics in Major Anti-Crime Operation
Bilasipara – In a significant anti-crime operation, Bilasipara police raided Duachari village last night, seizing live ammunition, narcotics, and other illegal items. The raid, conducted on the basis of intelligence inputs, led to the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker and the recovery of a cache of contraband.
During the operation, police targeted the residence of Haider Ali, where they apprehended Samir Uddin, a resident of Atani. From his possession, authorities recovered 7.62 mm live ammunition along with a bullet, 1 kg of cannabis, 317 grams of heroin in three containers, three mobile phones, and a Pulsar bike with registration number AS-17P 5477.
However, Haider Ali, the house owner, managed to evade capture and is currently on the run. Police have launched an intensive search operation to track him down and identify other potential accomplices involved in drug and arms trafficking in the region.
Officials have reiterated their commitment to curbing illegal activities and maintaining law and order, vowing to continue rigorous operations against organized crime networks.
