BSF ADG Ravi Gandhi Visits Tripura’s First All-Women Border Outpost
Agartala: Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General (ADG) of the Eastern Command, Border Security Force (BSF), recently visited Tripura’s pioneering all-women Border Outpost (BOP) at Pushparampara and Khantalang.
This historic outpost, under the 124 Battalion BSF, marks a significant milestone in promoting women’s empowerment in defense services.
During his three-day visit to the state, ADG Gandhi assessed the operational preparedness of the outposts and engaged in discussions with the Mahila Praharis, including Post Commander Sub-Inspector (Mahila) Sanju Ghasal. He praised their dedication, professionalism, and resilience, acknowledging their critical role in securing the nation’s borders in challenging terrain.
Gandhi was accompanied by Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Inspector General (IG) of Frontier HQ BSF Tripura, Rajeev Vatsraj, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Sector Headquarters Panisagar, and other senior officials. The visit reaffirmed the BSF’s commitment to strengthening border security while promoting women’s empowerment in defense services.
