Nagaland Leaders Push for Grassroots Empowerment at All India DCC Presidents’ Meeting

Kohima: The All India District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents’ Meeting, organized by the AICC at Indira Bhawan, New Delhi, saw active participation from Nagaland, with eight DCC Presidents representing the state in this significant grassroots convention.

Shri Kutoho Chishi, President of the Dimapur District Congress Committee, addressed the gathering, highlighting strategies to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence and tackle socio-economic challenges. He emphasized the need for enhanced training and resource allocation to empower booth-level agents, ensuring robust electoral preparedness ahead of upcoming elections.

In his speech, Chishi called for greater inclusivity within the party, urging the leadership to promote young leaders and women in decision-making roles. He stressed that a balanced and dynamic party structure is essential for sustained political growth and community engagement.

Addressing socio-economic concerns, Chishi advocated for urgent skill development and job creation initiatives to combat rising unemployment, urging the Congress leadership to prioritize these issues at the national level.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution to implement the proposed strategies, strengthening coordination between state units and the central leadership to bolster the party’s outreach and impact across India.
