Tripura CM Asserts Improved Healthcare Services, Extends Help to Needy under Mukhyamantri Samipeshu
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha reaffirmed the significant strides made in the state’s healthcare sector, stating that all the facilities available under Central government medical services are now accessible in Tripura.
Emphasizing the state’s commitment to inclusive healthcare, the Chief Minister urged citizens to utilize the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme, which is designed to bring governance closer to the people and directly address their needs.
Continuing his hands-on approach, CM Saha met with citizens at his official residence, where he personally listened to grievances and directed officials to take swift action on requests for medical assistance and welfare support.
Among the individuals seeking help was Priya Debbarma from Lavanya Chowdhury Para in Khowai, who suffered severe burns in an accident. The Chief Minister immediately instructed Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital, to initiate prompt treatment for her.
Another case involved Plavan Bhowmik of South Jolaibari, who sought support for his daughter Suprita, a thalassemia patient. CM Saha assured him of financial aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education, in addition to providing essential medicines for Suprita’s care.
Rupali Das of Lembuchhara shared her distress after a fire gutted her home, destroying all furniture and vital documents. Concerned for her and her only son’s welfare, the Chief Minister promptly contacted the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and promised financial support and assistance to restore her lost documents.
These are just a few of the many appeals addressed by the Chief Minister during the programme. His proactive governance model was supported by a team of top officials, including Health and Family Welfare Secretary Kiran Gitte, CM’s Secretary Apurba Roy, Social Welfare and Social Education Secretary Tapas Roy, Additional Secretary Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, and Medical Superintendents of key hospitals across the state.
The Mukhyamantri Samipeshu initiative continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring that the benefits of healthcare and welfare schemes reach the most vulnerable sections of society in Tripura.
