Arunachal: Keyi Panyor Hosts Historic Opening of Under-17 Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament
Yazali, Keyi Panyor District, Arunachal Pradesh – The 64th edition of the Under-17 State-Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament 2025 has officially begun today in a moment of immense pride for the newly established Keyi Panyor district.
This prestigious sporting event is being hosted by Keyi Panyor for the very first time, a significant achievement under the guidance of its pioneering Member of the Legislative Assembly, Shri Toko Tatung. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Topin Ete, the esteemed MLA of Aalo West, who served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. Distinguished attendees also included Marken Kadu, the Director of Secondary Education, along with the DDSE, high-ranking officials from the Directorate of Sports, prominent PRI leaders, and various Heads of Departments from the host district.
The tournament kicked off with an energetic opening match that saw the young football teams from Keyi Panyor and Papumpare District competing with notable talent and unwavering spirit. Their enthusiasm remained undeterred even as a brief spell of rain swept across the grounds.
Expressing his sincere appreciation to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, MLA Toko Tatung remarked, “It is a profound honour for our nascent district to be the host of such a distinguished tournament. This opportunity underscores the faith and acknowledgement bestowed upon us by the state administration.”
Further emphasizing the widespread participation in this year’s edition, Shri Tatung announced that young football aspirants from all 27 districts of Arunachal Pradesh are competing, transforming the event into a vibrant showcase of youthful talent and the spirit of sportsmanship.
