Guwahati: A tragic road accident in the Lakhibazar area of Sribhumi, Assam, claimed the life of an unidentified driver after a WagonR lost control and slammed into an electric pole on April 16. The vehicle, bearing registration number AS/10/D/6086, reportedly veered off its path before the fatal collision, resulting in the driver’s immediate death at the scene.
Local traffic police responded promptly to the incident, cordoning off the area and launching an initial inquiry. The deceased’s body was recovered from the mangled vehicle and later transported to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination. As of now, the identity of the deceased remains unconfirmed.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the accident. They have also issued a public appeal, urging anyone who may have information about the driver or the incident to come forward and assist with the ongoing probe.
