Tipra Motha Chief Pradyot Debbarma Slams Remarks from Neighbouring Nations, Urges Strong Indian Response

Agartala: In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Tipra Motha Party founder and Tripura royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma has sharply criticised statements made by leaders from neighbouring countries, calling for a firm and clear response from India.

Debbarma, reacting to the national outrage over the tragic incident, emphasised that passive silence is no substitute for justice, and fear cannot be the foundation of peace. “India must and should respond!” he declared, voicing the sentiments of many across the country still reeling from the Pahalgam tragedy.

Taking aim at the leadership in Pakistan and Bangladesh, he labelled the recent remarks from Pakistan’s Army General and Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor as “unacceptable,” stressing that their words reflected a disregard for democratic norms. “Ironically, they both are not answerable to the voters in their country,” he said, underlining the growing concerns around accountability in India’s neighbourhood.

Debbarma’s remarks come as part of a broader wave of calls demanding stronger diplomatic and strategic measures in response to the cross-border implications of terror and political provocation.
