Guwahati, Assam – The Assam Police have apprehended another individual for allegedly expressing pro-Pakistan sentiments in the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam. This latest arrest, the ninth in a series of such actions, was confirmed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his official X account.

According to the Chief Minister, the accused, identified as Md Mustak Ahmed, also known as Sahel, was taken into custody from the Sribhumi district on the night of April 25th. Sarma stated that Ahmed, son of Kabir Ahmed and a resident of Saykut village under the Karimganj Police Station, had allegedly posted “Pakistan Zindabad” on the social media platform Facebook.
