Assam HS Results 2025 Declared: Overall Pass Percentage Impressive Across All Streams
Guwahati – The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) today announced the results for the Higher Secondary (HS) examinations 2025 at 9:00 AM. Students who appeared for the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams can now access their scores on the official websites of the board and other authorized online portals. The declaration brings an end to the anticipation of the 2,26,756 students who sat for the crucial examinations.
In the Arts stream, the overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 81.03 per cent, with 1,84,745 students successfully clearing the examinations. Among those who passed, 49,577 secured the First Division, 80,650 achieved the Second Division, and 53,518 were placed in the Third Division. Continuing a notable trend, female students in the Arts stream outperformed their male counterparts, registering a pass percentage of 82.95 per cent compared to 78.42 per cent for male students. District-wise, Baksa emerged as the top-performing district in Arts with a remarkable 95.21 per cent pass rate, closely followed by Darrang at 93.82 per cent. In contrast, Cachar recorded the lowest pass percentage in the state at 58.96 per cent.
The Science stream also showcased a strong performance, with 48,309 out of the 56,909 students who appeared successfully passing the examination, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 84.88 per cent. The breakdown of divisions reveals that 25,827 students secured the First Division, 19,286 obtained the Second Division, and 3,196 achieved the Third Division. Similar to the Arts stream, female candidates in Science demonstrated a higher pass percentage of 85.54 per cent compared to 84.39 per cent for male students. West Karbi Anglong stood out with a perfect 100 per cent pass rate in the Science stream, followed by Sivasagar (97.13 per cent) and Baksa (95.66 per cent). Dima Hasao recorded the lowest pass percentage in this stream at 56.27 per cent.
In the Commerce stream, out of the 17,746 students who appeared, 14,584 successfully cleared the examinations, resulting in a pass percentage of 82.18 per cent. Among the successful candidates, 6,519 secured the First Division, 5,760 achieved the Second Division, and 2,305 were placed in the Third Division. Female students in Commerce also showed a slightly better performance with a pass rate of 82.40 per cent compared to 82.08 per cent for male students. South Salmara distinguished itself as the best-performing district in Commerce, achieving a 100 per cent pass rate among its 11 students.
The Vocational stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 68.55 per cent. Here too, female students outperformed male students with a pass percentage of 74.39 per cent, while male students registered a pass rate of 65.53 per cent. In a notable departure from previous years, the ASSEB did not release a list of top-performing students for the Higher Secondary examinations this year.
