A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hits Manipur

An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude on Richter scale was recorded in 2.39 am on Tuesday in the state of Manipur. According to National Centre of Sesimology the epicenter of the earthquake was along the India-Myanmar border about 55 Km east of Ukhrul. However there were no reports of damage to properties, life due to the earthquake.

According to India Meteorological Department many states of the northeastern India had been hit by moderate earthquake in recent times and a big quake might struck the  Northeast of India.
