A Bangladeshi Apprehended near Indo-Bangla border in Tripura
Tripura is under a lockdown due to the ongoing pandemic and on Wednesday Tripura state Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath has announced that a total lockdown will be imposed in 1 km radius of Indo-Bangla Border and rural areas of Tripura. But a sensational incident has occured in the Indo-Bangla border where an old Bangladeshi man was arrested locals for illegally entering India from Bangladesh through the border area by help of a gang of brokers.
The incident took place in Bhatsha Bazar area of Kailashahar assembly constituency, on hearing of the incident, a large police and TSR force led by Kailashahar police SI Jyotish Das rushed to the spot and BSF officials also reached the spot. According to reports the illegal immigrant name is Nur Ali Bari, who resided in Habiganj district in Bangladesh. From him two 500 Bangladeshi rupees, three 1000 notes Bangladeshi rupees, and two 500 Indian rupees also have been found. The Police is now conducting interrogation will immigrant. However the locals have raised questions on BSF’s role as how could the immigrant enter the Indian border.
