AAP to Contest in 25 Seats: Mizoram Assembly Election 2023

Guwahati: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that it will run candidates for at least 25 of the 40 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Mizoram.

Senior Mizoram AAP leader Andrew Lalremkima notified media about this on Friday.

“We are mulling to contest in at least 25 seats,” said Mizoram AAP leader Andrew Lalremkima.

According to him, the party is looking for deserving candidates throughout the state of Mizoram who would win the polls and be well-liked by the electorate.

 “We are on the hunt for courageous and upright people who could be fielded as candidates in the assembly elections,” the Mizoram AAP leader said.According to the senior AAP leader in Mizoram leading party figures from Delhi would run election campaigns in Mizoram the next year.

“Our leaders in Delhi, including party founder Arvind Kejriwal, will campaign for our candidates,” he said.

The party’s Mizoram chapter made this claim just one day after the AAP won 13% of the vote in the Gujarat elections.
