Abducted Indian-Origin Family Found Dead in California’s Orchard

Guwahati: The bodies of the abducted Indian-origin family, who also included an uncle who lived in the US and an eight-month-old baby, were recovered in a California orchard. The police informed on Wednesday.

They were taken earlier this week under threat of violence.

Sheriff Vern Warnke said the the bodies of the four people were discovered nearby each other by a farm worker at the orchard.

Our worst worries have been fulfilled, Warnke added. Four victims of the kidnapping were located. They are actually dead. It has been informed of the family. Through other contacts, we have set up plans to try to get them.

The family, identified as Jasdeep Singh, Jasleen Kaur, Aroohi Dheri and Amandeep Singh and local officials discovered the family’s truck on fire outside the Merced Country on Monday. The family was originally from Punjab in India.

The motive for the family’s kidnapping and murder has not yet been determined.
