Abotani Community of Arunachal Pradesh Condemns Noonmati Murder

The  Arunachal Pradesh Abotani Community Confederation (APACC) strongly condemned the brutal and unprovoked killing of Tani Communities Young boy Namely Late Rituparna Pegu at Guwahati in front of deceaseds wife and lactating baby. The Confederation said “It was very heart wrenching to see the helpless wife carrying her baby in lap and crying in front of Police while her late husband was being carried in the van by the police personnel.”

APACC appealed  Tani community of Assam specially Mising Bahne Kebang ( Mising Council ) an Apex Body of Tani Community in Assam to take up the matter in their hand in FasTrack mode, so that an exemplary punishments can be taken. According to reports, the incident transpired in a shop named “Armaan Home Furniture” owned by one Armaan Ali.

On receiving the information, Noonmati Police immediately reached the spot and facilitated shifting the victim to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his stab-injuries and was declared dead at the Gate Hospital. The police swung into action and apprehended 5 accused persons, namely Hussain Ali (prime accused), Dulal Ali, Ibrahim Ali, Manuwara Khatun and Arman Ali in connection to Rituparna’s murder.

It was found in the preliminary investigation that the victim and the prime accused were caught in a verbal brawl over a petty issue (for a chair) which finally led to a physical confrontation between Pegu and Hussain Ali’s family members.
