ABVP’s Sikkim State Students’ Meet Emphasizes Employment-Oriented Education and Societal Participation

Northeast Desk, 1st May: The Seminar Hall of Sikkim Professional University in Gangtok buzzed with enthusiasm on April 30, 2024, as the Sikkim State Students’ Meet of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) unfolded with fervor and purpose.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Ashish Chauhan, National Organising Secretary of ABVP, delivered an impassioned speech, urging attendees to champion ABVP’s programs and policies to the wider populace. Chauhan emphasized the crucial role of employment-oriented education and encouraged drawing inspiration from the lives of illustrious personalities.

In his address, Chauhan underscored the significance of research endeavors and active societal engagement, urging students to actively participate in both realms.

Following Chauhan’s stirring remarks, a meeting ensued, bringing together ABVP officials, university authorities, teachers, professors, and employees. Participants engaged in constructive discussions about ABVP’s future activities, exchanging views and outlining plans for upcoming initiatives.

The Registrar of Sikkim Professional University, Professor Ramesh Kumar Rawat, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, presenting traditional Khada (Pataka) and mementoes as tokens of appreciation. Rawat also greeted other dignitaries present, including Shri Apangshu Sekhar Shill, Regional Organising Secretary of ABVP, and Prithvi Singh Rana, Sikkim State Organising Secretary of ABVP, among others.

In recognition of their academic achievements and contributions, students from various educational institutions were felicitated during the event, adding a touch of celebration and honor to the occasion.

The Sikkim State Students’ Meet served as a platform for inspiration, collaboration, and collective planning, reaffirming ABVP’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and societal engagement among the youth of Sikkim.
