Guwahati: Bondona Kalita’s father on Monday urged for her to be shot if she was found guilty in the gruesome murder case in Guwahati.
Both of the primary accused’s parents claimed to be unaware of her crimes and to have never heard of a murder of this calibre.
The father said, “We cannot believe that she can do such a thing. Shoot her down if she is found guilty of the murder.”
Her parents revealed that Bondona Kalita had got married to Amarjyoti, the victim husband, around 10 years ago.
The accused was reportedly staying at her parents’ place when she was arrested, having already committed the murder. Her innocence in the situation has been upheld by her parents.
It should be noted that the horrific murder was only unearthed yesterday, after which the accused Bondona Kalita was arrested by the police at the Panbazar All Women’s Police Station in Guwahati.
The murder case has drawn comparisons to the terrible Delhi murder case of Shraddha Walkar, where the accused had chopped the victim and stored it before scattering the body parts over the city.
Initial reports state that the murder occurred in the Noonmati locality of Guwahati and the incident came into light on Sunday. The murder is thought to have been the result of an extra-marital relationship that the accused woman had with another man.
According to reports, after committing the murder, the suspect sliced the two victims’ bodies into pieces and placed the pieces inside a refrigerator. The bodies were dumped in Meghalaya three days after the murder.
Bondona Kalita, the prime accused in the case, allegedly killed the victims along with her lover and another friend. Her husband Amarjyoti Dey and her mother-in-law Shankari Dey were brutally murdered by them.
It should be noted that the mother-son duo who were the case’s victims have been missing since August of last year. The terrifying murder case came to light following Bondona Kalita’s arrest.
Bondona Kalita’s co-conspirators who assisted her in committing the murder have been named as Arup Das and Dhanjit Deka. They helped in killing the two and later in disposing off the bodies.
It is thought that the primary accused’s extramarital relationships are what gave rise to the entire murder incident.
