Actress Urfi Javed Faces Death Threats After Controversial Halloween Costume
Entertainment, 31st October: Actress Urfi Javed, known for her bold fashion choices, has faced harsh criticism and death threats after her recent Halloween costume choice.
Urfi, who gained fame for her appearance on Bigg Boss OTT, dressed as the character “Chota Pandit” from the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which drew negative reactions.
On Twitter, Urfi shared screenshots of hate-filled messages and abusive emails, some of which included serious death threats. One furious troll accused the actress of disrespecting the Hindu religion and hurting people’s sentiments, even threatening to shoot her.
Expressing her shock and dismay, Urfi questioned the country’s response to her costume, mentioning that the character in the movie faced no such backlash.
This incident occurred after Urfi Javed posted a video of herself in her Bhool Bhulaiyaa-inspired look. She dressed in a red bodysuit with an orange dhoti, posing with agarbattis and a garland. Her caption clarified that the character “Chota Pandit” is from the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa and that she had prepared for a Halloween party but couldn’t attend, so she decided to share the video.
