Adipurush writer Manoj Muntashir apologizes for hurting sentiments
Entertainment desk, 8 July: Following Adipurush’s abject failure, the movie’s writer Manoj Muntashir apologised to the public on Saturday for hurting their religious sensibilities with the film’s contentious dialogues.
Muntashir tweeted, “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.”
His tweeter post received a range of responses from internet users, many of whom believed that it was too late to request an apology.
A social media user wrote, “You are too late to apologise.”
“Badi jaldi Maafi maang liye sahab But thik hai, Der aaye durust aaye,” another one commented.
The epic mythical story “Adipurush,” written and directed by Om Raut, is based on the Ramayana by Valmiki. With great anticipation, the film, starring Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janki, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang, was released in theatres on June 16.
However, the movie has received unfavourable reviews from both critics and viewers. In reaction to the criticism, the directors have chosen to change a few dialogues.
The dialogues “Marega Bete,” “Bua Ka Bagicha Hain Kya,” and “Jalegi Tere Baap Ki” received harsh criticism from reviewers and commentators.
After receiving such criticism, the writers of “Adipurush” changed the dialogues.
