Guwahati: Minister of Industries Bimal Bora has emphasised the importance of collective cooperation in making Advantage Assam 2.0 a resounding success. The state’s flagship business summit, scheduled for February 25 and 26, aims to attract significant investments and foster international collaborations.
The event will be exclusively open to invited entrepreneurs and those who have formally expressed interest in participating. General public entry will not be allowed, ensuring a focused business environment. Registration for the summit has already attracted 14,000 applicants, out of which 9,200 have been approved after rigorous document verification. Only eligible participants will receive entry permits, maintaining high standards of credibility and purpose.
To facilitate effective business interactions, the organisers have made special arrangements for entrepreneurs facing language barriers. Translators will be on hand to assist business delegates from other states, ensuring smooth communication and productive discussions.
Entrepreneurs with an investment capacity of at least ₹5 lakh will also have the opportunity to participate, highlighting the event’s focus on encouraging substantial business ventures. The summit is set to host 450 Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, underscoring its role as a key platform for networking and collaboration.
Several countries are expected to join the event as partner nations, boosting international business ties and fostering global investment opportunities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are scheduled to attend as chief guests, further elevating the summit’s significance on the national stage.
In preparation for the high-profile event, security arrangements have been prioritised to ensure the smooth execution of the summit. Minister Bimal Bora stressed the need for cooperation among all stakeholders to maximise the event’s impact and showcase Assam’s potential as a leading investment destination.
