Advantage Assam: Adani Group “commits” Rs 50,000 crore investment in Assam
Guwahati: Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, has announced an investment of Rs 50,000 crore in Assam at the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit’.
He informed that this investment will be spread across multiple sectors, including airports, aero-cities, city gas distribution, transmissions, cement, and road projects.
Adani stated that the group’s investments will contribute to the state’s growth and strengthen its economic potential.
He drew parallels between Assam’s economic aspirations and the success of Gujarat’s investment ecosystem, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in fostering investment-driven economic growth.
The investment announcement comes as part of the Advantage Assam 2.0 Infrastructure and Investment Summit 2025, inaugurated by PM Modi. The summit aims to foster innovation and sustainable development in the state.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that Assam’s economy will reach USD 143 billion by 2030, with a GDP growth rate of 15.2 per cent this year.
