Afghan Exiled MP Mariam Solaimankhil Slams Pakistan’s ISI, Backs India’s Anti-Terror Actions

California — Mariam Solaimankhil, a prominent member of Afghanistan’s Parliament in Exile, has launched a stinging attack on Pakistan’s military and intelligence establishment, accusing them of systemic oppression, terror sponsorship, and decades of human rights abuses. Speaking to news agency ANI from California, Solaimankhil openly voiced support for India’s counter-terror strikes while highlighting the dire state of minorities within Pakistan’s borders.

In her remarks, Solaimankhil condemned the Pakistan Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for stifling dissent and targeting ethnic communities. “It’s not just the Baloch,” she said. “It’s also the Pashtun, the Sindhi, and even the Punjabis — everyone is sick of the military dictatorship they have been living under.” She sharply criticised Pakistan’s actions in Balochistan, where, according to her, peaceful activists are jailed while terror operatives move freely.

“We have a peaceful and non-violent activist like Mahrang Baloch in prison, but people like Osama bin Laden and terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba are allowed to roam freely,” she added. Citing decades of forced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and resource exploitation in Balochistan, Solaimankhil accused the state of abandoning its own people to poverty and persecution while enabling a terror ecosystem.

Defending India’s recent targeted military operations, Solaimankhil asserted, “What India did was necessary. Pakistan is breeding terrorism in Kashmir. They took innocent lives, and you can’t let them go. The attacks that India is conducting are targeted and responsible — going after terrorism outposts, terror camps, and areas where the military is helping terrorists grow.”

She also denounced Pakistan’s global disinformation campaign. “For the last 77 years, Pakistan has peddled the same lies through the ISI and even its own Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They deflect blame, even accusing the U.S. of supporting terrorism, and now they’re blatantly threatening the world with nuclear annihilation. It’s ridiculous,” she said.

Solaimankhil emphasised that her comments stem not only from political analysis but from personal trauma. “My tweet was not just a political statement — it was a lived reality. I have lived under ISI terrorism. I’ve seen it firsthand over the last 10 years, and I know where the root cause is coming from.”

Her strongly worded remarks have resonated with human rights observers and foreign policy circles, sharpening scrutiny on Pakistan’s internal repression and global conduct. “The world is clearly understanding who India is… and who Pakistan is,” she concluded, signalling a shift in global perception rooted in decades of conflict and growing regional assertiveness.
