Earlier, swine fever was discovered in the Dibrugarh district’s Bhogali Pathar village. All pigs within a mile radius of the epicentre were reportedly buried, according to reports.

Dibrugarh animal husbandry and veterinary officer, Dr Himandu Bikash Barua said, “We first notified the area up to 1 km as diseased. We killed and buried all the pigs in the affected region in accordance with the regulations. We have also sanitised the entire space at the same time.”
