After ‘Miya Museum’ row another MLA of Congress from North Karimganj named Kamalakhya Dey Purakayastha has demanded the state government that a brand new ‘Bengali Museum’ should be set up in Sankardeva Kalakshetra to showcase the cultural heritage of Bengalis.
MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purakayastha said ” Bengalis have the biggest contributions in the freedom struggle of India, Every Bengali has contributed to the freedom struggle, and so government should come up with a ‘Bengali Museum’ in Sankardeva Kalakshetra.
Previously Congress MLA Sherman Ali had given a proposal to the Assam government to set up ‘Miya Museum’ at the iconic Sankardeva Kalakshetra, which have up roared huge controversy in the state.
