Agatha K. Sangma Appointed Chairperson of Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights
Agatha K. Sangma, the national Vice President of Meghalaya’s National People’s Party (NPP), has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR). The announcement marks a significant step in her career as she transitions from her role as the former MP from Tura to this pivotal position.
In accepting the role, Agatha expressed her gratitude to Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma. “Grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Heartfelt thanks to CM @SangmaConrad. I dedicate myself to the welfare and empowerment of children, ensuring the protection and well-being of every child,” she stated on X (formerly Twitter).
Former minister James K. Sangma also extended his congratulations, noting, “I extend my warmest congratulations to my dear sister, Agatha K. Sangma, on her appointment as the Chairperson of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.”
