Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Congress National Spokesperson Gourav Vallabh Resigns, Citing Party’s Direction

National Desk, 4th April: Congress national spokesperson Gourav Vallabh tendered his resignation on Thursday, delivering a significant blow to the party’s prospects ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

In his resignation letter addressed to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Vallabh characterized the party as ‘directionless’. He cited his discomfort with the party’s stance on issues such as the caste census and his inability to advocate ‘anti-Sanatan’ slogans.

Vallabh expressed, “I do not feel comfortable with the directionless way in which the Congress party is moving forward today. I can neither raise anti-Sanatana slogans nor criticize the wealth creators of the country. I am resigning from all posts and primary membership of the Congress party.”

Previously managing Kharge’s Congress president campaign, Vallabh was recognized for his influential voice on economic matters.
