AIFF D-Certificate Football Learning Course Concludes Successfully in Sikkim
Northeast Desk, 10th April: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Sikkim Football Association (SFA) celebrated the successful completion of the AIFF D-Certificate Football Learning Course, attended by 24 student-coaches from Sikkim and neighboring regions.
Commencing on April 5th, the course aimed to equip budding coaches with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the football community.
The closing ceremony, held on Tuesday, April 9, witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including Yogeeta Rai, Secretary of the Sports Department, and Sudip Pradhan, Independent Director of Numaligarh Refineries Limited.
Rai commended all the candidates for their dedication throughout the course and assured them of the department’s unwavering support in their future endeavors.
Phurba Sherpa, General Secretary of the SFA, delivered the welcome address, expressing gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment.
In his closing remarks, Menla Ethenpa, President of the SFA, underscored the significance of such training programs in elevating football coaching and development in the region. He reaffirmed the SFA’s commitment to further collaboration with the AIFF to provide more opportunities for aspiring coaches.
Led by Kuntala Ghosh Dastidar, with Lekden Basi serving as the Course Coordinator, the AIFF D-Certificate Football Learning Course garnered an enthusiastic response from participants.
Due to popular demand, the second batch of the course is scheduled to commence on April 11, offering another cohort of aspiring coaches the chance to refine their skills and contribute to the football landscape.
