AIIMS Employee Stabbed to Death Allegedly by Colleagues Over Language Conflict

Guwahati, 23rd August: Tragedy struck the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in Guwahati’s Changsari area on Tuesday night as an employee was fatally stabbed, allegedly by his colleagues.

The victim, identified as Nipan Kalita, suffered multiple stab wounds during the incident, which led to his untimely demise. Sources indicate that a language-related conflict escalated into a violent altercation.

Nipan Kalita was associated with the hospital’s oxygen management unit and hailed from Bamun Gaon in Boko subdivision under Assam’s Kamrup district. Shockingly, he had joined the service only a few months prior.

Local authorities have detained three individuals in connection to the alleged murder. The detainees are Amit Mandal, Binit Gupta, and Dipak Sharma.

Police are currently conducting further inquiries to establish the sequence of events and gather more details surrounding the tragic incident.
