Aimee Baruah’s ‘Semkhor’ Wins Best Feature in 68th National Film Awards

Guwahati: The feature film “Semkhor,” directed by Assamese actor and filmmaker Aimee Baruah won the Best Dimasa Film and the Rajat Kamal at the 68th National Film Awards which were announced on Friday.

Aimee Baruah also won the Special Jury Mention prize with this.

The Best Environment Film went to the Assamese film “Manah Aru Manuh” (Manas and People). The film was made by Aaranyak and the Directorate of the Manas National Park under the direction of Dip Bhuyan.

On the other hand, Khanjan Kishore Nath’s produced and directed Karbi film “Kachichinithu” (The Boy with a Gun) took home the award for Best Short Fiction Film.

The movie “Bridge,” directed by Kripal Kalita, earned the Rajat Kamal and Best Assamese Film awards.
