AIUDF Badruddin Ajmal Alleges ‘Conspiracy’ in Dhubri Boat Capsize

Guwahati: AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal alleged that the entire boat capsize incident in the Dhubri district of Assam was a “plot” to “eliminate” a sincere officer.

The top government official who vanished on September 29 after a boat carrying 29 passengers crashed in the Brahmaputra River is still being sought after by search and rescue teams.

The missing official has been identified as Sanju Das.

After examining the spot, Ajmal declared, “We demand that the investigators look into the possibility that the entire affair was a plot to remove an honest officer.”

“We hope Das makes a full recovery after the boat capsizes. The circle officer’s family must be paid, and his kin should be given a government job,” he continued.

The 28 other people, including a few school students have been rescued by a group of SDRF soldiers, BSF jawans and villagers.

According to reports, the incident took place when a boat carrying passengers lost control in the Brahmaputra due to the strong currents.

Following the incident, SDRF teams were dispatched to the area and later saved two persons.
