AIUDF Chief Threatens Legal Action Against Assam CM over Controversial Remarks

Guwahati, 5th March: Following Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s recent comments in the state assembly, AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal has announced plans to take legal action against the CM, citing misinformation and religious insensitivity.

Ajmal’s decision came after Sarma allegedly claimed during a session in the assembly that Muslim girls were married off at the ages of 6 to 7. Denouncing Sarma’s statements as unfounded and provocative, Ajmal demanded concrete evidence to support such assertions.

“We will file a case against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma,” announced Ajmal on March 5, accusing Sarma of deceiving the public with baseless claims.

In a bold move, Ajmal challenged Sarma to substantiate his controversial remarks. “I will resign from my political career if Himanta Biswa Sarma can furnish proof and evidence of his speech,” declared Ajmal, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter.
