AIUDF General Secretary Demands Justice into Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College Rape and Murder

Guwahati, 18th August: AIUDF General Secretary Rafiqul Islam has issued a strong condemnation of the recent rape and murder incident at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, calling for immediate and stringent action. Islam labeled the incident as “unfortunate and a matter of great concern,” raising questions about the safety of women nationwide. “If such incidents keep happening, how will our daughters feel safe stepping out?” he questioned.

Islam has urged the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a thorough and expedited investigation, demanding that the perpetrator be brought to justice swiftly. “The CBI must expedite its investigation, and the guilty party should be hanged. This would serve as a stern warning to others who might consider committing such heinous acts,” he stated.

In his broader critique, Islam emphasized the need for heightened vigilance from police and home departments across the country. He stressed that institutions must adopt stringent security measures to ensure the protection of women. “Every institution should implement the highest level of security arrangements to protect our daughters,” Islam asserted.

He concluded by reiterating his condemnation of the crime and calling for swift, severe action. “We condemn the atrocity that occurred, and we urge the CBI to complete its investigation promptly and ensure that the culprit faces the harshest punishment. Only then can we find some solace,” Islam added.
