AIUDF MLA: Assam Cong Working as ‘A-Team’ of BJP
Guwahati: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has alleged that the Assam Congress is now the BJP’s “A-Team” in Assam.
AIUDF MLA and party General Secretary Karim Uddin Barbhuiya claimed the Congress is currently working on a plan to eliminate the AIUDF rather than fighting the BJP in Assam.
This coincides with the election of the first non-Gandhi president in 24 years for Congress, the oldest political party in the nation.
Karim Uddin Barbhuiya said, “There is a BJP government, but Congress is currently working to destroy its alliance partner AIUDF and Badruddin Ajmal in order to support the BJP. The BJP-written script is currently being read aloud by the Assam Congress.”
“The Assam Congress is the ‘A-Team’ of the BJP and they are openly with the ruling party. I want to ask Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Kumar Borah, you said that you will take strong action against the Congress MLAs who voted for BJP in the Presidential Election and termed them as ‘Gaddar’, but why you haven’t take action against them so far. The Assam Congress is now in the pocket of the BJP,” Barbhuiya said.
“Our analysis is accurate, and the results of the 2024 and 2026 elections will show it. The Assamese people will make the decision, and they will shatter the BJP’s ego,” he added.
In addition, the AIUDF MLA predicted that during the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, his party will win a minimum of three seats and a maximum of six seats in Assam.
“In earlier elections, we had won three seats and finished in second place in other seats. We will likely win at least three seats in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election and have a chance to take home another three. In Assam, Congress’s number would be a large zero in 2024 if they continue to follow the BJP’s directions ” he said.
Barbhuiya added that the AIUDF has established 20 district committees and that the party is rapidly expanding its organisational basis across the state.
“In the coming days, we will touch the rest of the areas. The people of every caste and community are now with us,” the AIUDF MLA said.
