Ajith Kumar Makes a High-Profile Comeback, Testing Ferrari in Dubai
Sports Desk, 29th September: Tamil cinema superstar Ajith Kumar is not just focused on his film career but is also gearing up to return to his other passion—racing. After a long hiatus, the actor has launched his new racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, and is set to participate in international competitions once again.
Ajith, known for his upcoming film Vidaamuyarchi, was recently seen preparing for his return to the racetrack. His manager confirmed the exciting news on social media, sharing images of the actor adhering to safety protocols while testing the Ferrari 488 EVO Challenge at the Dubai Autodrome.
“We are proud to announce the beginning of a new exciting adventure: Ajith Kumar Racing. Fabian Duffieux will be the official racing driver,” the manager shared, adding that Ajith is among the few Indian racers who have competed on the international stage.
Ajith Kumar’s racing career dates back to 2003, following his participation in the Formula Maruti Indian Championships in 2002. Over the years, he has competed in prestigious events, including the 2004 Formula Asia BMW F3 Championship and the 2010 FIA Formula Two Championship.
Ajith will now compete in the 24H Series European competition, racing in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup category, marking his return to competitive motorsport. Fans were recently treated to viral videos of the actor testing his skills on a racing track in Dubai, further fueling excitement for his comeback.
In addition to his racing ventures, Ajith Kumar remains busy with his film projects. After Vidaamuyarchi, he is set to star in Good Bad Ugly, which is eyeing a Pongal release alongside Vishwambhara.
