Akhil Gogoi: “Coal Syndicate Rampant In Assam, Affecting Tea Industry”

Guwahati: The Chief of Raijor Dal and MLA Akhil Gogoi from Sivasagar district of Assam claimed that there were several syndicates functional in the state on Wednesday.

Gogoi made these allegations while addressing at a press conference and added that the price of the coal is rising because of the rampant coal syndicates.

The Sivasagar MLA alleged that this had a negative impact on the state’s tea sector as well.

Gogoi also offered arguments in support of his assertion. According to him, the state’s Barak Valley region has been home to the coal syndicate since September 13 of this year.

He claimed that an 18-wheeler vehicle costs Rs. 1 lakh thirty thousand and a 12-wheeler coal-filled freight truck costs Rs.

He also asserted that the funds are funnelled into the purses of BJP officials and followers.
