Akshay Sachdeva Appointed New Director General of Police (DGP) of Sikkim

Gangtok: Sikkim’s Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, announced the appointment of Akshay Sachdeva as the new Director General of Police (DGP) on Saturday.

Sachdeva, an IPS officer from the 1991 batch, previously served as the Special DG (Law & Order). He will take over the role from the outgoing DGP, AK Singh.

In a social media post, CM Tamang extended his congratulations to Sachdeva, highlighting his dedication to public service and expressing confidence in his ability to lead the state’s police force towards greater progress and excellence.

The Chief Minister also thanked the outgoing DGP, AK Singh, for his valuable service and wished him a happy and fulfilling retired life.
