All States & Central Ministries to be Integrated Into NSWS By March 2023

Guwahati: All States and Central Ministries will be incorporated into the National Single Window System (NSWS) by March 2023, according to a statement made on Tuesday by the Department for Promotion of Investment and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

The NSWS is a digital platform created to aid investors in locating and requesting permits in accordance with their business needs.

In the first year since it began, the industry has received over 14,000 approvals, and another 14,000 approvals are in the works.

“It was soft-launched in September 2021 and within the one-year total of 16 states’ single window systems linked with NSWS and 24 Central Ministries out of 32 designated on-boarded on NSWS,” stated Sumita Dawra the Additional Secretary of DPIIT.

It should be mentioned that Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, introduced the NSWS to investors and companies in September of last year.

“This would bring Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness in the ecosystem and all information will be available on a single dashboard,” Minister Goyal had stated during the event. A dashboard for applicants would be available for application, tracking, and query-response.
