Guwahati, 13 June: Devotees will be able to enter Neelachal only from 5 am to 9 pm on the days of Ambubachi. No devotee will be allowed to enter after 9 pm. Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Temple Dham is now making extensive preparations for Ambubachi Mela. The Kamakhya temple is ready to attract devotees from all over the world. Ambubachi Mela will start on June 22 at 2.30 pm. The doors of Kamakhya temple will remain closed from June 23 to June 25. The doors of Kamakhya will be opened after nitya puja on June 26.
Some special arrangements have been taken for this year’s Ambubachi Mela. There will be no provision for VIP-VVIP on June 26. Devotees will be able to enter Neelachal only from 5 am to 9 pm on the days of Ambubachi. No devotee will be allowed to enter after 9 pm.
It is worth mentioning that this time during Ambubachi, the newly constructed Pandu-Kamakhya new road will be opened. This road will be opened keeping in view the convenience of the devotees.
The opening ceremony of the Ambubachi Mela will be held at Sonaram ground on June 22. Camps for devotees will be set up at Pandu Port, Sonaram Ground, Kamakhya Railway Station.
During Ambubachi, other food items will not be able to be supplied to the devotees except for drinks on the way to Kamakhya Temple. Devotees have been asked to come to the Kamakhya temple by removing shoes and sandals.
On the occasion of Ambubachi Mela, more than 400 CCTVs will be installed for security purposes. A large number of volunteers from Scout-Guide, NCC will serve. Appeal to devotees not to take shoes, sandals during Ambubachi.
Like last year, vehicles from nursery to Kamakhya temple has been closed. Ferry cars will be arranged for the elderly, specially abled people and emergency services. It is also learnt that carpets will be given throughout the route leading to Kamakhya temple.
Apart from this, it has also been reported that arrangements have been made to keep the place of kamakhya temple cool with special technology. It is also learnt that this measure has been taken to ensure that devotees do not feel too hot in the scorching heat.
