Guwahati, 13th November: In the midst of Diwali celebrations, a significant fire erupted at a paint godown located in the heart of Bongaigaon town. The fire, originating from the PR Hardware paint godown, caused substantial damage, estimated to exceed Rs 15 lakh.
Local witnesses reported noticing smoke emanating from the godown, prompting a swift community response to aid in bringing the blaze under control. Firefighters from Chirang and Abhayapuri arrived promptly, deploying four fire brigades to combat the flames.
While the fire was successfully extinguished, the cause of the incident remains unclear. A thorough investigation has been initiated to determine the origins of the fire that engulfed the paint godown amidst the festive Diwali atmosphere.
