Amit Shah Accuses Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi of Lack of Self-Confidence, Slams Congress for Misinformation

Guwahati, 30th April: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a press conference in Guwahati, Assam on April 30, made scathing remarks against Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, accusing them of lacking self-confidence and abandoning their traditional seats in Uttar Pradesh.

Responding to queries about the potential candidatures of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from Amethi and Raebareli, Shah stated, “I cannot confirm whether they will contest the elections or not, but the evident uncertainty suggests a lack of self-assurance on their part. The current scenario in Uttar Pradesh indicates that they have abandoned their long-held constituencies and fled…”

Shah further criticized the Congress party for fostering confusion in society by attempting to portray the BJP as against the backward class. He condemned Congress for resorting to appeasement politics and spreading misinformation.

Highlighting the BJP’s governance track record, Shah emphasized their decade-long tenure marked by majority victories and significant legislative reforms, particularly in overturning antiquated laws dating back to the British colonial era.

Despite accusations from Congress of spreading misinformation, the BJP reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC), ensuring that constitutional provisions remain steadfast. Additionally, they asserted their dedication to preserving reservations for marginalized communities.

Amit Shah criticized the Congress party for engaging in deceitful practices such as creating deep fake videos and spreading rumors. He urged the public to rely on truth rather than falling prey to falsehoods propagated by such means.

Shah concluded by stating the government’s commitment to implementing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) across the country, aiming to bring about a uniform law for all and put an end to Congress’s appeasement tactics.
