Amit Shah Presents Voters with Choices Ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha Elections in Assam

Guwahati, 9th April: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a rally in Lakhimpur, Assam, ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, presented voters with two distinct choices, urging them to decide the future course for the state. Shah emphasized accountability and tangible results, particularly in the context of Assam’s progress.

Directly addressing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Shah questioned the party’s historical contributions to Assam, asking, “What have you done for Assam? From the time of your Grandmother (Indira Gandhi), what have you done for Assam?” This highlights the need for accountability and a track record of accomplishments in addressing the state’s challenges.

Highlighting the BJP government’s efforts, Shah emphasized their success in curbing influx into Assam, a critical concern for the region. He asserted, “The BJP government has stopped the influx in Assam,” showcasing the administration’s proactive measures in tackling key issues.

Shah further criticized the Congress party for allegedly failing to fulfill its responsibilities towards Assam, particularly in terms of equitable development and justice for the northeastern state. Contrasting this with the BJP’s track record under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Shah emphasized mega-developments and transformative changes as hallmarks of their governance.
