Amit Shah to Visit Tripura for NEC Plenary Sessions on December 19-21

Agartala: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Tripura on December 19 to attend the North Eastern Council (NEC) plenary sessions, which will take place on December 20 and 21.

According to a source from the Tripura Government, the NEC plenary was initially slated for August 31 and September 1 but was postponed due to flooding in the region. The meeting was rescheduled for December, and Shah, along with DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, will be present.

Shah is expected to arrive in Agartala on the evening of December 19 and will likely hold discussions with BJP functionaries that night. On December 20, he will participate in the NEC sessions before departing the state later that day.

All Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries of the seven northeastern states are set to attend the meeting. Authorities have intensified security measures, ensuring smooth proceedings for the event.
