Amul Cooperative hikes Milk prices by Rs 2 per litre
Guwahati: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited, which distributes its dairy products under the brand name “Amul,” has raised the price of full cream milk and buffalo milk by Rs 2 per litre in all states besides Gujarat.
This was announced by the RS Sodhi, the Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited.
As a result, the cost of a litre of full cream milk has now climbed from Rs. 61 to Rs. 63.
However, it is still unclear as to when the pricing increases will take place.
Amul increased the price of its Gold, Shakti, and Taaza milk brands by Rs 2 per litre earlier in August due to a rise in operating expenses and milk production costs. Prior to that, milk prices were hike in March.
