Aniya Vibes Makes Mark in Assamese Music Scene with ‘Uri Jai Mon’

Guwahati, 17th June: Aniya Vibes, a budding talent in the Assamese music scene at just 13 years old, is making headlines with her latest single ‘Uri Jai Mon.’ Raised in California by tech-savvy parents from San Francisco, Aniya’s music blends western influences with traditional Assamese elements, featuring pitched-up samples of the ‘Pepa’ wind instrument set to dancehall and reggaeton rhythms.

Despite her upbringing far from Assam, Aniya’s music resonates authentically with her cultural roots, guided by her uncle, renowned music composer and producer Sibabrata Sharma. Together, they’ve crafted a sound that seamlessly merges western styles with Sharma’s deep expertise in Indian music traditions.

The lyrics of ‘Uri Jai Mon’ are penned by esteemed musician Maitrayee Patar, who expressed admiration for Aniya’s talent and the support she receives from her parents. Patar hopes the song brings joy to listeners and inspires more young artists in Assam to pursue their artistic passions.

Aniya’s rising star has already caught the attention of industry veterans like Joi Barua, who praised her achievements on social media. Recently, a vibrant launch party for ‘Uri Jai Mon’ was held in Guwahati’s Zoo Road, attended by key figures in the Assamese music community, including Bornali Kalita, Rupam Bhuyan, and Pallab Talukdar.

Since her debut at age 9, Aniya Vibes continues to bridge the gap between Assam’s cultural heritage and global musical influences. ‘Uri Jai Mon’ stands as a testament to her youthful resilience and exceptional talent, marking her as a promising figure in the music industry well beyond her years.
