Anon Konyak Crowned Miss Nagaland 2024, Advocates Empowerment Through Pageantry
Kohima: Eighteen-year-old Anon Konyak A was crowned Miss Nagaland 2024 on December 4 at the Regional Centre for Music and Performing Arts, marking a significant celebration of talent, confidence, and empowerment among young Naga women.
The prestigious title signifies more than beauty, reflecting the rising aspirations of women in Nagaland to challenge norms and embrace individuality. The event showcased participants’ diverse talents, moving beyond traditional pageant stereotypes to focus on personal growth and intellectual abilities.
Nikali K Shohe and Kelülü Dawhuo secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively, while special awards honored contestants for skills ranging from photogenic charm to artistic creativity.
Organized by the Beauty and Aesthetics Society Nagaland, the 33rd edition of the pageant highlighted the importance of nurturing young women’s dreams through cash prizes and sponsorships from local supporters.
As the new Miss Nagaland, Konyak has earned a direct entry into the Miss Northeast 2025 competition, opening doors to greater opportunities. The annual event continues to serve as a platform for showcasing the strength and aspirations of women in the state.
